Description
6mm carbon steel plancha providing a smooth cooking surface with excellent thermal conductivity giving you the perfect cooking instrument for smash burgers, philli cheese steaks and many many more. Once seasoned, the natural non-stick cooking surface makes the plancha not only easy to cook with but also very easy to clean and maintain.
Features of this design:
- The specially designed profile allows the plancha to be rotated 360 degrees so you can move your food over your preferred heat zones
- Polished surface to ensure maximum contact with your food to provide the perfect sear
- The rotating facility provides access to the charcoal grate for adding, stoking and moving coals
- The combination of the two cut outs enable the heavy weight of the Plancha to be handled in and out of the kettle while wearing gloves
- Cut outs provides the the ability to place a container below to catch any excess oil or cooking fats. Also provides a catchment for food residue when cleaning
- Flat edge of handles provides the perfect edge to scrape clean your spatula
- Seated close to coals to give excellent fuel efficiency
- 6mm heavy duty carbon steel

Steve pulled out all the stops to get this over to me on an overnight (I had cracked an older cast iron plancha and forgot a couple of days before inviting loads of people over) delivery.
I used grape seed oil to season, would highly recommend this, also great for cooking on.
So far done two cooks (Friday and Sunday) , friends and neighbours were impressed.
Also I do prefer the completely flat plancha, especially for cleaning, it is so easy.
The carbon steel is a massive improvement over iron.
10/10, Steve has a customer that will come back.

Bought a 22 inch plancha for my Weber Kettle a few weeks ago and am very happy with both the quality of the product and the service from Smokerig BBQ. The plancha is a really heavy piece of kit and maintains heat well once up to temperature. I used groundnut oil to season the plancha and it has created a fantastic cooking surface which is also easy to clean.. So far I have cooked smash burgers, steaks and veggies multiple times and am incredibly impressed with the results. The sears acheivable on the steaks are perfect 👌. Looking forward to experimenting with many other cooks.
